Students from Machray School in Winnipeg were treated to a beautiful Autumn day as they visited Ste. Agathe to plant trees. The one day event, sponsored by the Manitoba Forestry Association and Qualico brought over 100 trees to our community. The trees were planted along Ste. Agathe’s Promenade Trail and inside Cartier Park. Students from École Ste. Agathe will have an opportunity to plant 40 potted trees at a later date. The Machray Students were welcomed to the community by Jacques Courcelles, President of the Ste. Agathe Community Development Committee, and MLA Shannon Martin (Morris). The eager students enjoyed lunch in the Cartier Park Shelter and visited the Flood Interpretive Centre before heading back home to Winnipeg. Picture R-L – Jacques Courcelles, MLA Shannon Martin (Morris), and Therese Dorge
